COUCH TO 5K

Get fit, lose weight and run 5k in just 10 weeks STARTS MONDAY 6TH JANUARY AT 6 PM *SOLD OUT*

SORRY - GROUP IS FULL

Join the hundreds of people who've successfully completed our Couch to 5K programme

Are you unable to run? If the answer’s ‘Yes’ then you’re in the right place. If you’re fed up of not having enough energy, carrying a few too many extra pounds and not doing enough exercise, then this programme is just for you. Helen Jackson leads the programme with Jo Coupe and she knows all to well what it’s like to run for the first time.

“I knew I wanted to get fitter, but I didn’t know where to start. The idea of running seemed impossible. But then I stumbled across a “Couch to 5k” run training programme. To begin with I jogged very slowly for about a minute and then walked and then I gently built it up from there. Now I love running. I’m a lot fitter, have much more energy and I’ve made lots of new friends. My self-confidence has come on leaps and bounds.

We wanted others to benefit in the same way. We’ve put together a simple programme that allows non-runners to come together at the same starting point. It’s much more fun in a group because everyone supports each other. Once you’ve reached the end of ten weeks and you’ve completed your first 5k run, the sense of achievement is incredible.”

STILL NEED CONVINCING?

Listen to what Paula Radcliffe has to say:

“JUST DO IT!

The best way to get started is to do it with a group of friends at a running club. You help each other, you support each other and motivate each other.

It's a safer environment to go out and enjoy your first step into running and you can go on that journey together sharing all the ups and downs and of course, sharing the fun!”

"Take the first step and sign up"

"I've been running for a number of years now and nothing brings me greater satisfaction than seeing new people pushing out of their comfort zone and seeing people progress and achieve their personal goals.

I find running is my “anti depressants”- after a hard day it helps me to feel better about myself.

The support at the club and especially on the couch to 5k is incredible. Everyone is there to help each other.

So come on, take the first step and sign up, take the second step and turn up to the first session and you will soon see the benefits.

I'm really looking forward to being part of your exciting journey 🏃‍♀️🏃❤️Jo x."
